The lab was still introductory. I learned how to work with these IR and fluorescence machines, a bit different from home, otherwise not very exciting. I quickly ate something at home and then went to the trial shift! One of the colleagues explained the whole thing to me; she's quite nice. It was a bit stressful, because it's a new type of work; I haven't been trained in hospitality yet, so to speak. I tagged along with that colleague all evening as a kind of lapdog, so she could show me how everything worked. The owner asked if I wanted to do a second trial shift tomorrow and said we'd figure it out afterward. Unfortunately, I didn't go out with my friends because I had that trial shift (and you had to be in before 10 p.m., which I couldn't manage). I did get a nice video as encouragement, haha. Oh, and there's a leak in the kitchen, so we're using the fantastic pan solution.
