After my lecture, I had a job interview at Calico Café. I'm not entirely convinced they'll hire me, as I don't have much availability. Trial shift tomorrow.
In my pharma tutorial, we had to form groups based on a card we were given. It had a receptor or substrate on it, and then you had to find the one you matched with. I haven't taken pharmacology yet, so I have no idea... I eventually found the right one, but then it turned out you weren't allowed to have groups of five. So I was paired with someone else who was also the fifth. Then there were two of us... But luckily, it turned out later that two more people would join. I worked with Ryen (Australian) on the tutorial and walked back across campus afterward, apparently following the same route.
Made banana pancakes at home and chatted with my roommate.
Met Sunny, Angela, Cynthia, Cailene en andere mensen die Angela kende hot pot gegeten bij Haidilao (had niet meegekregen dat er zoveel nieuwe mensen zouden komen, was even schakelen). Hot pot is zeg maar, dan heb je een grote bak waar soep in staat te koken en dan bestel je er dingen bij zoals rauw vlees, noedels, groenten, die je dan in de soep gooit en eruit haalt als t gaar is. Was lekker! We kregen zelfs allemaal een schortje. Wel wat duurder dan ‘gewone’ restaurants, maar is ook een ander concept. Oh en wat me opvalt, hier krijg je bij alle restaurants gratis water, in Nederland zou je daarvoor moeten betalen. Flink druk in dat restaurant, redelijk populair denk ik. Daarna met de hele groep gelato gehaald bij Gelatissimo aan Darling Harbour, allerlei nieuwe smaken (dragon fruit, lychee, honeycomb, etc.). Gelatissimo was naast een speeltuin, dus toen was het natuurlijk tijd om in de bouwsels te klimmen, te schommelen, glijbaan af enzovoorts hahaha. Met Isabelle (uit de VS ook) samen terug naar huis gelopen, we wonen toevallig dicht bij elkaar!
