By van, a one-hour drive to the parking lot where the tour starts.

It is quite a long hike, 20 km, with 1200 meters of elevation gain.

From the parking lot, first a long slope to Soda Springs, then up the south crater. Unlike the previous mountain, there were more mountaineers here (see the first video below).

Beautiful, that red crater! And steam rises from the ground in all sorts of places. There was a downward slope where you had to slide down on pumice (video below).

Then along the beautiful Emerald Lakes and Blue Lake!

And finally, the long journey to the end.
