Went to a pharma tutorial yesterday, and thankfully, the group has now grown to four people! One of them feels a bit too good to provide input on the questions, as he's already been through all this and is doing this course purely for the credits, which is also possible. It was raining heavily again, but luckily Ryen had an umbrella with him, so he stayed semi-dry halfway home. Still soaking wet afterward, but oh well. Met a new roommate; she lives in the garden shed, but she wasn't really in the mood for conversation and moved on after a quick hello and "how are you?" (People who live in the garden shed have to walk through the kitchen to get outside.)

Today was the Arts and Crafts Society herbarium workshop! I arrived a bit late, but they still had space and supplies. I picked out some beautiful flowers, had the vase filled with oil (?) and had it sealed. Then I sat down with Cailene in the Carslaw learning hub and prepared some things for the lab. We also chatted about a midterm trip; I think this is really happening, yay! Went to the lab for the last day of the introduction, and had to get used to how they do prep forms here, called HIRACs (context: prep forms and HIRACs are forms you have to fill out for an experiment and have them checked before you can start. They contain step-by-step plans/flow charts for the experiment, safety information about the chemicals and procedures, and some other things; it's usually quite a bit of work). Halfway through, I called my parents for fifteen minutes to ask when they wanted to come and what the results would be. In the evening, I went to see my friends, and then we all (Cailene, Angela, Sunny, Mikaela, Isabelle) went to St. John's because there was a party going on there, and one of us knew someone there, but we weren't allowed in because we don't live in St. John's. So instead, we went to Ivy's (a club in town). Emma and Cynthia joined us on the way! It was fun there at first; we met new people and shared a lot of social media. But at some point, it was better to leave; it's good that the buses run so late.
