Went to the introduction/welcome information session in the morning. Gained some useful information and met a few people. Walked around campus with one of them for a while to find our buildings.
After lunch, I took the bus to Newtown Station. I missed my stop, so I had to walk back, oops. The buses here don't have screens showing where the bus is now and what the next stops are, and there's no announcement, so Google Maps it is... Then I took the train, going the wrong way, but it all went very smoothly. I finally reached the city center, yay, and what tall buildings! I spotted ING and Rabobank. I walked to the Sydney Opera House, or rather, to the quay on the other side with a view of the Opera House, where you could also see the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I walked back home via Darling Harbour and Chinatown; it was already getting dark by then!
