After two lectures with Tania, a Norwegian I met during the introductory week, we had lunch together and caught up—great fun! I had my first lab session, mostly preparing and getting acquainted with this lab. It looks a bit different from the one in Nijmegen, so I still have to figure everything out. Real experiments will start later. In the evening, I went to my first club activity: at SUMS (Sydney University Musical Society). It started with a BBQ, which I was late for because I still had lab time, and then we went to rehearsal. I was nervous at first, but I was really happy that I didn't have to audition. I met a few nice people at the BBQ. I had to get used to reading music without my guitar, but it went much better than expected! Later that evening, I went to Manning Bar and Manning Party with Sunny and later Emma. We had a great time! There are a lot of new people, so our circle kept growing as the evening went on. The party theme was Pitbull, so there were actually people wearing bald caps and sunglasses, haha.
