Went to another zoo, but this time organized by the USU (university student union) and more of a "general" zoo with a less specifically Australian focus than Featherdale Wildlife Park. I joined a few random people at the meeting point because I didn't know anyone. We spent the day with two of them (Emma from Munich and Katie from London), first taking the bus over the Harbour Bridge, since the zoo is in North Sydney, across the water. Then we looked at all sorts of animals together: koalas, kangaroos, red pandas, seals, bilbies, penguins, Tasmanian devils, tigers, etc. It was raining, so many animals were naturally sheltering in their enclosures. Taronga Zoo also had a great view of Sydney, as it's practically on the coast, so you can see a bit of the typical Sydney skyline and the bridge!
In the evening, I went to see my friends (Sunny, Cailene, Angela, Cynthia), caught up, and went into town. We were supposed to find a nice spot, but everything was full/had expensive entrance fees/wasn't fun. So at some point, I took the bus home in the pouring rain. My shoes were completely soaked.
